    The Imperial Palace was built in 1406 A.D., during the Ming Dynasty. The palace is also known as the Forbidden City. With an area of more than 72 square meters, it was the palace for the Emperors of both the Ming and the Qing Dynasties. It consists of more than 9000 rooms, and is the largest palace in the world.

    Inside the palace houses an abundance of cultural and historical relics.

    The Imperial Palace is considered as one of the Ten Best Historical and Scenic sites in China.
